As I considered what to write today, I found an article that stated what I wanted to say so much better. I will add that I know that my natural and protective hairstyles made others uncomfortable in the workplace. I am hopeful that as Black girls become women, they will not have to worry about their hairstyles being acceptable in the workplace. I certainly hope their advancement is not inhibited due to their choices.
